Standing upon a sturdy pier White clouds drawing pictures The water below so blue and clear Surrounded with contented futures This is only a dream and not reality It is only illusion in the minds eye Only something you want to be And it will only pass you by Standing on a crumbling pier Storm clouds pressing you down The water dark and full of fear Surrounded with dismal burdens Can you change the dream to reality Will you fill the minds eye with beauty Make it something that will truly be And enduring over time for me I do not want to dock at a crumbling pier I want the strong pier and clean water I do not want to find no one there I want there to be another by Janet Boyd aka Bee Spit |
